Portsmouth is Our Home !

I am a Portsmouth native, married to my best friend Maceo Thomas for 15 years, a mother of two boys, and the proud daughter of Carl and Beverly Edmonds who instilled in me the fervent belief to always give back and, most importantly, TAKE CARE OF HOME! I believe in the potential of our city if we Invest in Education, Protect our Citizens, and Build for our Future. I graduated from I.C. Norcom High School (Salutatorian c/o '99), received my college degree from the University of Virginia (B.S. Chemical Engineering, c/o 2003), worked professional stints in Northern Virginia and Pennsylvania, and returned to Portsmouth to raise my family because PORTSMOUTH IS HOME!

Elected in 2020 to the Portsmouth Public School Board, I served a full-term, keeping every promise from my campaign. Now, I aim to bring that same passion and tenacity to OUR CITY, OUR HOME! Together we will SET a Higher Standard, RISE to meet new Expectations, and TAKE Action to make OUR CITY, OUR HOME a place where neighborhoods are clean, citizens and visitors are safe, children and families have access to top-notch education, and businesses are supported and primed for success!
